Abstract
The article explored the workings luffing boom of the portal crane CPFS 16/20/32-36/28/20..8 ?Sterh? produced by PJSC " NKMZ ". To investigate the package was used in the SimMechanics environment MATLAB Simulink. As a result, modeling of the mechanism, the following dependencies: the departure boom system from the angle and dependence of the boom system height from relegation. These dependencies are allowed to correct the nonlinearity of the vertical load path through the control of the controller (series S7-300 from Siemens) and electric lift (ACS-800 series firm ABB). As a result of reduced dynamic loads on the luffing mechanism, it is reduced wear and extended life of the gantry crane.
