Abstract
Induction generator with inverter excitation can be used as dc current arc welding power supply. To obtain a welding feature it is necessary to adjust voltage and current loop in control system. For this purpose transfer function of the generator is used. A non linear system of differential equations of induction generator with inverter excitation in stator voltage two phase reference frame was discussed. Due to Taylor series expansion around the operating point and introduction of a new variable a transfer function of generator is obtained. Expressions for transfer function coefficients are given. It's shown that generator can operate as arc welding power supply using voltage and current PID controllers that configured with application of obtained results.
