USE OF PACKAGE OF APPLIED MATHEMATICAL PROGRAMS SCILAB FOR TRAINING SPECIALISTS IN ELECTROMECHANICS

There is a problem to use of licensed software in universities in Ukraine. The percentage of using unlicensed software is one of the highest in Europe. The cost of widespread mathematical software such as Matlab, Maple, Matlab, Statistica, is too high for many universities . Therefore proposed the use of alternative free software packages, such as Scilab, SmathStudio, Maxima, for training students in electromechanics. Some advantages and disadvantages of the Scilab are defined.
