This article presents a theoretical analysis of the approaches of foreign and domestic scientists involved in the study of the traditional worldview of indigenous peoples of the North. Based on this analysis, the authors identify which ideas are the basis of the perception of the world and man in the cultures of this type. Authors on the empirical evidence shows that the hallmark of the traditional culture of the indigenous peoples of the North is a strict adherence to perceived from previous generations patterns of behavior ? the customs, rituals, methods and techniques of activity.
