Abstract

Against the background of the increasing demand for the training of technically oriented specialists, pedagogical support in the process of learning English, considered not only as a goal, but also as a means of forming cognitive and engineering skills, is of particular importance. The research is aimed at identifying effective pedagogical practices that allow integrating the components of STEM education into the language learning system. The purpose of the work is to determine the conditions under which the formation of elementary technical competencies can be launched, based on the potential of the English language as a tool for interdisciplinary development. The methods used include pedagogical modeling, observation, and content analysis of integrative programs. Educational scenarios and technologies tested in institutions of additional and general education are considered as a material. The results obtained demonstrate that a combination of linguistic and technical development is possible with systematic pedagogical support and the use of game, project and digital approaches. It is concluded that interdisciplinary integration is highly effective as a factor in preparing students for future training in engineering and IT fields.
