Abstract

Although identity is a modern concept, the reality is that since man has lived in this world, identity and who he is have been his fundamental issues. Man shapes his identity according to his living conditions and being influenced by the environment and the harsh events of social life. This identity is the result of his individualization and the confrontation between his inside and outside. A confrontation that arose from the disintegration of the soil of his existence and the divine spirit in the beginning. Therefore, man determines his own destiny and his happiness and misery by tending to each of these two elements. Throughout history, traces of these searches can be found in literature and psychological texts. Literature is a place where man is closer to himself than ever before. One of the most brilliant ways of expressing the concept of identity is in classical Persian literature. This study is a descriptive-correlational study, and the statistical population is the employees of the Khorramabad Welfare Service in 1403. The sample size is 380 people who were selected by simple random method. The instrument of this study includes the Identity Dimensions Questionnaire. Also, Pearson correlation and independent T-test tests were used to analyze the data. The findings indicate that there is a positive and significant correlation between identity styles and the age variable. There is also a difference between identity styles and education of individuals. There is also a significant difference between identity styles and gender of respondents. These findings acknowledge the existence of psychological disorders in employees, so it requires serious attention from relevant authorities.
