The Role and Position of Artificial Intelligence in Arbitration and Resolution of International Disputes

Today, the discussion of arbitration and the resolution of international commercial disputes is of great importance, so much so that this issue has led to the discussion of the use of new technologies, including artificial intelligence, in discussions related to the resolution of disputes. In line with this approach, the present article attempts to use the descriptive-analytical research method and also refer to legal documents, while discussing the importance of arbitration, and to discuss the role of artificial intelligence in it from the perspectives of challenges and opportunities. The article raises the question of what challenges and opportunities the use of artificial intelligence in arbitration and the resolution of international disputes faces? In response, it can be hypothesized that "it seems that the use of artificial intelligence in international commercial arbitration can help the parties in collecting evidence and information related to the case, analyzing evidence and arguments presented by the parties, although in this regard, challenges may arise, including understanding the subtleties of the law and human factors in the dispute resolution process, concerns about data security and privacy, and ethical issues." The conclusion of the article shows that the use of artificial intelligence in international commercial arbitration shows itself in improving the effectiveness, efficiency, and speed of dispute resolution.
