Assistant practice as a component of the professional training of future lecturers in preschool pedagogy and psychology

Abstract
The article explores the specifics of organizing practical (assistant) training in the professional preparation of future lecturers in preschool pedagogy and psychology at higher education institutions. It emphasizes that assistant practice plays a key role in developing professional competence, integrating theoretical knowledge with practical skills. This type of practice fosters responsibility in decision-making, allows future educators to assess their professional potential, and highlights the significance of teaching as a profession. The article analyzes scientific works related to the organization of assistant practice and examines regulatory documents governing its implementation in higher education institutions. It outlines the goals, objectives, general and specific competencies, and program learning outcomes defined in the syllabus for assistant practice. Special attention is given to the content modules that shape the unique features of the practice for students pursuing a second (master's) level of higher education in the specialty 012 “Preschool Education”. The practice objectives include educational, methodological, and research activities, contributing to the formation of independence, reflective thinking, and professional responsibility among future educators. Engaging students in assistant practice enables them not only to master teaching methods, methodological and methodological approaches, and modern pedagogical technologies but also to gain a deeper understanding of the principles of pedagogical activity. The article identifies key organizational conditions ensuring the effective organization and execution of assistant practice. It highlights the importance of creating a supportive educational environment for the research work of students, enabling them to develop relevant research skills, deepen their professional training, and cultivate scientific-pedagogical competencies. The use of modern pedagogical technologies and innovative approaches to education promotes the professional self-improvement and creative potential of students, ensuring their readiness to work in educational and scientific environments.
