Abstract
Emergence medical service (EMS) plays an important role in reducing disability and death among critically ill patients. The emerging vehicular networks (VN) offer potential for improving the quality of EMS. However, it is time-consuming and costly to assess the effectiveness of VN-related protocols in EMS, especially for people not familiar with simulators and programming. Thus, in this paper we present a simulation platform that can be used to assess VN effectiveness in EMS easily through web browsers. Users only need to select geographical areas, number of vehicles, average speed of vehicles, assessment methods, and the traveling path. Management functions are also supported in the proposed simulation platform for users to monitor the status of a simulation and to cancel a simulation.
