GENRE ORIGINALITY OF THE DETECTIVE SHORT STORY

The issues of the theory of a detective genre are raised in the article. Theoretical aspects of the detective were considered in G. Andzhaparidze, S. Bavin, T. Kyostkhey works, etc. literary critics. However, many questions were not revealed. The article contains the critical review of works existing in this field. Comparison of the points of view concerning the theory of the detective aims at elaboration of defining genre, its specifics and importance in world literary process.
