The purpose of the article is the introduction to scientific circulation of the archival materials on the activities of Academician Sergey Aleksandrovich Zhebelev, who was the President of the Commission of USSR Academy of Sciences in october-november 1941. First published data on the role of S.A. Zhebelev in saving Leningrad scientists in the first months of blockade of Leningrad, which cost him his life.
