KEY ASPECTS OF COURSE AND TREATMENT OF PERIODONTAL DISEASES IN PATIENTS WITH UROLITHIASIS

Aim. To analyze the scientific and professional literature covering the main aspects of periodontal condition in patients with urolithiasis, and to summarize the known trends in treatment of periodontal pathology in these patients. Materials and Methods. A review of specialized publications on the issue of periodontal disease against a background of somatic pathology and the literature search in the PubMed and Medline databases and systematization of the literature available on the issue were performed. Results and Discussion. The analysis of the studies of revealed dental pathologies against the background of urolithiasis was carried out and the main approaches to treatment of this disease were summarized. Conclusions. The obtained data indicate the dependence between the severity of the periodontal disease and the intensity of basic disease course. It was found that the proposed therapeutic approaches to improve dental status are not sufficiently effective in these patients.
