Abstract
The article describes the use of case studies in the course "Ecological local history." Methodical preparation of future teachers of biology and ecology by local history means preparing for the implementation of environmental education for pupils, and aims to form their ecological culture. Case method helps to increase students' interest in the subject under study, they develop qualities such as social activities, communication skills, ability to listen and competently express their thoughts.
