Abstract
In this article the features of the Polish lexemes with the semantics of pink color have been studied. The linguistic analysis was based on the Polish poetry of the late 19th ? first half of the 20th century, namely the works of K. Przerwa-Tetmajer, J. Kasprowicz, L. Staff, J. Tuwim, M. Pawlikowska-Jasnorzewska, M. Wolska, B. Ostrowska and K. Iłłakowiczówna. In this article the author substantiate the selection of the color terms which denote pink color in the separate lexical-semantic microfield. The author also analyze the content and characteristics of this microfield within the limits of the studied material, consider the typical and individual cases of using of the color terms. The semantics of color terms is deeply symbolic, so they must be analyzed in parallel with the color semantics in culture. The author use culture color semantics to discover the poets’ hidden motivation and to explain the multi-meanings of the color terms used in different individual cases. This article also shows the areas of crossing of some lexical-semantic microfields.
