Abstract
In today’s information society there is a global problem ? an increase in the amount and quality of educational information reducing training time for mastering this information. One way to resolve this contradiction is to use computer-based testing as a part of many pedagogical innovations. However, the use of ICT in testing has its advantages and disadvantages. Considering minor disadvantages of computer-based testing, the obvious fact is that compared to traditional forms of control, this type is sufficiently objective and qualitative, which in compliance with the relevant conditions reduces the influence of subjective factors on test results when assessing the level of knowledge concerning certain discipline. However, computer-based testing is not intended to replace traditional teaching methods completely, and possibility of direct communication between the teacher and students should act as a significant and convenient supplement.
