Abstract
The development trends of e-learning in the modern higher school are considered. The new meaning of teacher’s pro-fessional activity under the conditions of e-learning is discussed. Innovative technology implementation is aimed at providing systematic work made by student under the guidance of a teacher. Extra-mural student is not left alone, but is a rightful participant of educational process, special attention is given to his/her work, which is controlled and assessed. The teacher’s role increases significantly in pedagogic and methodological support of student’s academic activity.
