Abstract
The purpose of this study is to evaluate perceptions of school guidance teachers on school administrators’perspectives about school guidance services. The study was carried out among 95 school guidance teachers employed in the primary and high schools in İstanbul, affiliated with the Ministry of National Education. For the purpose of this study, easily accessible sampling method is selected from among purposive sampling methods. The teachers in the sample were interviewed. During the interview they were asked questions about school administrators’ perspectives about school guidance services. Their responses were recorded, and their expressions were summarized and interpreted using descriptive analysis technique. The findings of the analysis show that implementation of guidance services in schools is not sufficient. School administrators have beliefs to guidance services. But some of the so-called guidance applications can’t be done . The findings of the study are discussed and recommendations are made.
