Abstract

Turks are a nation with a culture in clothing. They were good at making wool and leather clothing t their first homeland in Central Asia. They were making and using wool felt boots also leather boots too. The Turks brought with them their culture of a particular shoe when they came to Anatolia from Central Asia. Parallel with the growing need of shoemaking in Anatolian Seljuks and Ottomans, there have been major advances in the field, so shoe kinds multiplied. It has been seen that there is an important vocabulary about the presence of shoes and shoemaking on line from old Turkish to present-day Turkey Turkish in both written and spoken language. In this context, one of the important sources is glossary of review. In this study, the presence of the vocabulary about shoes and shoemaking culture will be examined in the Glossary of Review.
