Abstract

The study of the activity of lysosomal cysteine proteases in patients with diseases of the veins of the lower limbs revealed that these nosologies accompanied by increased activity of cathepsins H and L in plasma. The rate of increase of cathepsins L fnd H for varicose veins is higher than in venous thrombosis. Varicose veins of the lower limbs and acute venous thrombosis accompanied by an increase in the synthesis of nitric oxide degradation products. Increasing degree of degradation products of nitric oxide is higher in patients with acute venous thrombosis than in patients with varicose veins. A negative correlation between the activity of cathepsins L and H and the concentration of nitric oxide metabolites in the blood plasma of patients with acute venous thrombosis was increased.
