Abstract
The article presents data on pathological changes of the skin using a stepcare treatment of ichthyosis by retinoids. The pathological changes of the skin on the base of biopsy material analysis from patients with various types of ichthyosis were studied. The two basic types of ichthyosis, depending on the severity of histopathological changes were proposed: mild and marked. The development of immune inflammation in the skin of patients with ichthyosis occurs with the involvement of CD4 + cells and CD8 + T lymphocytes, the number of them significantly increases. The disturbance of epidermal proliferation and differentiation of epithelial cells, as well as dysregulation of cellular immune reactions in the skin is one of the major pathogenic mechanisms of pathological changes of the epidermis in patients with ichthyosis. Using pathomorphological method enables an objective assessment of the severity of ichthyosis and applies a differentiated approach to select the most effective treatment scheme.
