Abstract
The article is devoted to the problem of cognitive interest formation of disa- bled students in terms of inclusive education (at the Geography lessons). The article analyses the peculiarities of cognitive activity of students with mental retardation. The necessity of modern innovative forms of geography lessons is pointed out in this article. It also presents an example of extra-curricular activity ?An Amazing journey through Russia? which will be very useful for the teachers in organizing and planning work aimed to the cognitive interest increase of disabled students to the subject, as well as broadening their mind and vocabulary
