Abstract
This article evokes the literary relationship between Romania and the south of France, focusing on the contacts of Vasile Alecsandri, major Romanian poet and diplomat of the XIXth century, with “Société Archéologique Scientifique et Littéraire” from Béziers. The second part presents a bird’s eye view of the artistic liaisons between Languedoc and Romania through the years.
