Abstract
A complex clinical and instrumental examination of 150 patients with the syndrome of undifferentiated connective tissue dysplasia was conducted, including 120 patients with idiopathic mitral valve prolapse and 30 patients with undifferentiated connective tissue dysplasia but without mitral valve prolapse who formed the comparison group. We studied changes in the levels of magnesium, aldosterone, cortisol, amino acid composition of blood serum; the relationships between the above changes and degree of mitral valve prolapse, frequency of arrhythmic events were identified; prognostic risk groups for severe heart rhythm disorders among the patients with mitral valve prolapse were identified.
