RADIATION CAUSED PATHOLOGY OF THYROID GLAND IN ONE OF IODINE DEFICIT REGIONS OF THE CENTER OF RUSSIA

Abstract

Authors have examined peculiarities of surgical pathology of thyroid gland of 16 years, since1985 to 2000 years, in an iodine deficit region, that was affected by underdoses of radiation, as a result of explosion at Chernobylsky atomic electric power station. In the research it is shown that in the region there is growth of radiation caused patthology of thyroid gland. That is, number of cases of autoimmunative tireoidit has increased 14.4 times, of adenomas of thyroid gland 8.6 times, considerably there increased amount of patients with plenty of adenomas of thyroid gland and combined .pathology, there has increased frequency of cases of cancer of thyroid gland, that in 50% these cases are revealed against the background another pathology of thyroid gland. Depending on form and heaviness of autoimmunative tireoidit, from cytological picture, authors suggest different variants of its treatment. In afteroperational period to patients who have histological symptoms of autoimmunative aggression in thyroid gland in obligatory order immunodulirative treatment is prescribed ? lasertherapy that can decrease afteroperational hipoteras in 2.5 times. In the article nearest and remote results of surgical treatment of cancer of thyroid gland depending on a stage of the process are presented
