Journal: I.P. Pavlov Russian Medical Biological Herald (Vol.7, No. 3)Publication Date: 2006-10-03
Abstract
Adenohypophysis and adrenal gland were examined in 38 males died from craniocerebral injury. 7 males died from any other trauma but not from craniocerebral one and whose glands were studied formed the control group. Morphological signs of short-term emission of tropine hormones caused by adenohypophysis with the following decrease of secretory function were found out. Adrenal cortex has all the signs of prolonged increase of functional state which is possible if parahypophysis influences on its stimulation.
