Abstract

In present age of high technological advancements and consequent to those growing environmental concerns, further aggravated by modern lifestyles, every aspect of development urgently requires eco-friendly techniques and textile industry is no exception to it. Shoddy industry at Panipat, which is the largest hub of such industry, not only in India, but in the whole world is a good example of eco-friendly and sustainable growth. In present study this yarn-making technique and its utilitarian aspects, as well as, economical implications have been studied by the investigator and Potentials and problems of the industry were also surveyed. Although, this industry is declining due to multiple problems of the trade policies, yet some incentives from the government can save this environmental friendly enterprise.
