Abstract
The past decade has evidenced a rapid growth in the usage of mobile phones around the world. The increase in mobile phone usage has led to the emergence of new mobile phone software platforms that rely on third party developers and partners for their growth. One such mobile platform that is growing rapidly is Google's Android operating system. The purpose of this paper is to propose a framework for analyzing the success factors of mobile platform centric ecosystems strategy through a case study of the Android platform.
