Abstract
The questions of using the methods of problem teaching in high technical educational institutions are the subject of this research. The author studies in details the techniques and methods of increasing the efficiency of the training of future engineers to modern production conditions by the means of well-known but not having examined pedagogical technique. The variants of problem situations and the most typical problem situations for educational practice are offered In the article that are common for all types of knowledge. The main functions of problem training at the Higher Technical School are allocated by the author and can be realized in a various practical and theoretical activity of students and depend on characteristic variants and types of problem situations. The use of this educational technology in the training course of future engineers allows to optimizing the process of their grounding for the real production conditions.
