Abstract
The article is devoted to the description of life of an outstanding soviet surgeon and urologist Nechiporenko A.Z. - the founder of contemporary Grodno Urological School, who made a significant contribution to the development of practical urology of our country, and is the author of the method of investigation of blood elements in urinary sediment (Nechiporenko urine test). To write the article the author used different literature sources and memoirs of contemporaries.
