Abstract
ABSTRACT The Internet of Things (IOT) is next advancement of Internet. It connects many objects or things over the Internet by sharing information. It provides information to the users about the content and its storage location. Many industries are using wireless communications, so it is important to consider the need of power-efficiency, reliability and Internet connectivity. The backbone traffic is the result of increment in value of several parameters like quantity of packets, amount of data transmitted, execution time, the starting time, overhead time and power consumption. Traffic engineering is significant for network management and upcoming network planning. Every smart device consumes some amount of energy while performing any operation. When number of smart devices increases in a network, transmission of data packets takes longer time. Thus, requirement of power amplifies because of execution time, waiting time, longer distance etc. The energy requirement of complex IOT devices is very high. Also, the overhead time and overhead energy of devices increases because of complexity in communication. Due to which there will be more delay in sending data packets to the destination. In this paper, we have used community detection methods for optimizing power consumption, overhead time, overhead energy and energy distance in IOT’s. The primary focus is about deciding best community of IOT for sending data packets, in order to reduce power consumption of every IOT device.
