COĞRAFİ KEŞİFLERİN NEDENLERİNE YENİDEN BAKMAK

For years, the geographical discoveries are one of the topics in the pre-modern period which are compulsory for the curriculum in every level of education from primary school to university in Turkey. The discoveries have been shown as the result of economical needs in general. The facts behind the discovery, social facts and especially technical matters have been explained as more weak reasons. In this essay, we will evaluate the reasons of discoveries from very different points of view.
