Abstract
This article considers medical terms borrowed from Arabic, Indian, North American and West European languages. The author identifies seven lexical sets based on the language they belong to, providing a detailed description of the origin of certain lexical units. The research findings revealed clinical and anatomical terms, terms designating treatment methods, diagnostic procedures and processes, as well as eponymous terms
