Abstract
The article compares two points of view of the critics on the finale of "Crime and Punishment". The author in his turn tends to think that the subject of Raskolnikov’s redemption is justified by formal-structural, and dialectic-ideological development of the novel; emphasizes the role of the Gospel and compares it with the personal experience of F. M. Dostoevsky.
