Abstract
The author investigates the image of Jesus of Blok in the perspective of Pushkin's poem Аt the beginning of life... The article considers the motive of the way and wandering of the heroes in the circles of Dante's hell. In the figurative system of "The Twelve" the gospel and bacchic origins of the plot and genre of the poem are analyzed.
