Abstract
The article presents the results of a theoretical study of psychological features, factors and mechanisms of victim behavior manifestation of modern boys and girls. The concepts of victimization, “victim” and victim behavior are considered. It is proved that the change of victimhood level at young age can lead to misadaption of a young person, which is revealed in the conformal behavior of a “victim”, the inability to create his or her own strategies of behavior and take responsibility for what is happening around and with himself. It is concluded that there is a need to clarify the factors of victim behavior determination in adolescence and develop specialized correctional and educational programs that will allow a young person to form a viable life-purpose attitude, to operate effectively in difficult situations.
