Abstract

This paper presents a case study on the industrial training of a polytechnic teacher under the department of electronics and telecommunication engineering. Initially, the objectives of industrial training have been decided and according to which the training implementation model has been prepared and followed. In this training, the servomechanisms, different types of sensors, military grade components and environmental testing of the components have been studied. The electronic circuit simulators used to design the different circuits has been studied. The microstrip patch antennas have been simulated and fabricated as a project under industrial training. The feedback pertaining to curriculum of Diploma in electronics and telecommunication engineering has been collected from the industrial experts. The industry has donated different types of electronic components, and learning materials which are used in the teaching process. Such type of training definitely enhances the technical skills and updates the practical knowledge of a polytechnic teacher. This helps to improve the quality of fresh technician and engineers through the teaching learning (T-L) process to satisfy the needs of industrial sector. Thus, the industry-institute-interaction has been enhanced through this training.
