Abstract
The article discusses problems associated with the formation of an integrated system for rail transport. This article examines the experience of the Czech and Polish Railways when building multimodal passenger transportation, which even with a strong competition is in high demand from passengers, provides comfortable transportation at low fares. The study of foreign experience will be useful in the formation and development of convenient rail transport system in Russia. In the present circumstances, when the population of several regions as a result of irresponsible actions, may be faced with traffic jams, studying and implementing foreign experi- ence should be first priority as regional authorities and transport companies with the aim of solving the transport problem which has already arisen in many regions of Russia
