Abstract
The ancient custom of hospitality as a social act is an appointment, the contact with "others", and in linguistic and cognitive perspective ? the dialogue and exchange of information. This socially significant event involves two role of actant ? the landlord, on the one hand, and on the other hand. The semantics of a word are initially marked un hôte complex motivation: on the one hand, this refers to a person (stranger, enemy), on the other, the one who provides hospitality, i.e. the owner of the house.
