Abstract
The article studies the technologies and design features of sewer treatment plants in different ranges of their capacity. The first capacity range spans from 1 to 1000 cubic meters per day and is based on using septic tanks of submersible bio-rotary units with wire-brush sorption nozzle. The second capacity range covers treatment plants designed for the rates from 1000 to 30000 cubic meters per day and involves using flow equalizers, sorber denitrification filters with wire-brush sorption nozzle and bio-rotors featuring identical type of nozzle. The third capacity range covers treatment plants with a rate over 30000 cubic meters per day which are recommended to be equipped with flow equalizers, sorber denitrification and nitrification filters in the water of aerotanks with free-floating biocenosis of nitrate bacteria that are kept in aerobic facilities by means of filtering desilters.
