The article deals with the peculiarities of information culture formation in the modern society. The author defines the case levels of information culture and the factors, influencing its development. Information culture shows the personality development in the modern society and, depending on the main characteristics of society development, can show the level of its development. The modern information culture embodies all its former forms and nowadays acts as a sociocultural construct in the information society.
