INFORMATION SYSTEM OF INFORMATION SUPPORT OF EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITY OF HEI

The saved up experience of information support of educational activity and the perspective directions of its improvement, and also the characteristic of the information resources used in education of specialists in BGATU is presented. Problems of employment innovative system of information support of educational activity are considered on condition that information requirements and technologies of information service are changing. Purpose: To study information possibilities of different organizations of the Republic of Belarus to satisfy data requirements of the teaching-and-professorial staff and students, magistracy and post-graduate students; to estimate national and foreign information resources of leading libraries of Belarus, ministries, departments, research institutions for the purpose of the efficient use during the schooling of specialists of BGATU. Methodology: An innovative system of information support of educational activities of the university with use of modern development trends in network technology, implementing more comfortable work conditions in the organization was developed: the possibility of remote, distributed in time and space cooperation of faculty members, students, and graduate students. Methodical approaches in data ware, identify information needs of the university specialists with use of modern research methods were suggested. Results: Studied are peculiarities and a specific character of existing worldwide databases in economics for the purpose of purchase of it by the University and for further using in the educational activity after appropriate adaptation; created are and actualizing are local information databases of internal generation in the University’s library and at the chair “Economy and Organization of AIC Enterprises”. Realized is an innovation approach of large use of electronic information resources (BGATU library’s stocks; local information databases of internal generation of the BGATU library and of the chair “Economy and Organization of AIC Enterprises” of the University) in daily practical work of the University on the basis of available resources, adapted to real conditions of work and tasks of the educational activity of the HEI. Practical implications: Composition, structure and content of information resources, used in the educational activity, must be continually improved, taking into account changes in information requirements of the teaching-and-professorial staff as well as of magistracy and post-graduate students of the economic profile of the HEI and information service technologies that will guarantee an efficient functioning of the information service system.
