THE ORIGINS OF THE SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITY OF ACADEMICIAN EA WAGNER

Article examines the role of the individual academician Evgenii Antonovich Wagner in the organization of scientific medical school, organization of medical education in the Western Urals. Purpose: To study the existing state, scientific and organizational prerequisites for the formation of scientific medical schools and the improvement of medical education. Methodology: Our study is focused on the study of the pre-eminent sources and directed from a private perspective to generalizations (induction method). The main methods used problem- chronological system and method of comparative analysis, the principles of historicism and scientific objectivity. The analysis of biographical data based on archival files, interviewing participants in the events, made reference to databases of scientific papers. In the process, have been studied following materials: monographs, theses, manuals, collections of scientific papers and articles in scientific journals, minutes of meetings of the Scientific Council of the Perm Medical Institute. Results: the work provides a detailed analysis of scientific, clinical, educational and organizational activities of academician of the Academy of Medical Sciences of the USSR Yevgeny Antonovich Wagner. A comparative analysis of the achievements EA Wagner and his students from the standpoint of future generations. Determined by socio- cultural and scientific environment in which he lived and formed a scientist. Defined value research EA Wagner and his students in establishing priorities in the study of pathophysiology and treatment of chest injuries at the hospital stage. Studied the contribution to the development of medical science and practice in the Western Urals school surgeons formed academician EA Wagner. Practical implications: The scientific school formed based on a revolutionary idea, organizational infrastructure, and the practical application of research results in the presence of a strong leader. Confirming held scientific school is public recognition and acceptance of future generations.
