Abstract
The article deals with the phytochemical study of suspension cell culture of Macleаya cordata (Willd R. Br.), got in All-Russian Research Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants. The main alkaloids, such as sanguinarine, helirubin and their dihydro derivatives ? dihydrosanguinarine, dihydrohelirubin and trace amounts of macarpine and dihydromacarpine are isolated from cell culture by the method of liquid column chromatography. Aiming at material authentication the methodologies of quality analysis using methods of thin layer chromatography and spectroscopy in ultraviolet spectrum were developed.
