Abstract
By analysis of existing in Russia jurisprudence the points of view on the nature of judicial authority in the constitutional modern state, the author emphasizes that, despite distinctions of courts depending on a type and instances, powers and competences, judicial authority is an independent branch of power. As far as we know, there are three branches of power (legislative, executive, judicial). Judicial authority has important value in system of the modern constitutional state. Judicial authority represents system of the organization and functioning of government bodies ? courts, which appointment is implementation of a specialized type of activity.
