SOME ISSUES OF TEST CLASSIFICATION

This article deals with the issues of test classification. It is proved that test classification is one of the most important ways of considering testing as a scientific research method. This article suggests a general classification of tests covering such subject areas as “P” ? tests for individual psychological characteristic, “U” ? tests on learning capability and “I” ? tests on intellectual ability. The results of analysis of material on testing history and others scholars’ classifications are presented. The data presented proves that testing is very popular nowadays, that is why test classification is of special interest.
