SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL STATE POLICY IN THE FIELD OF PROTECTION OF POPULATION AND TERRITORIES FROM EMERGENCY SITUATIONS

The article is devoted to the scientific and technical issues in the political activities of the state in the field of protection of population and territories from emergency situations of technogenic character. The author defines the main directions for the implementation of state policy in science and technology to prevent emergency situations. As prevention and reduction of damage caused by emergency situations are encouraged to pay special attention to the combined use of advance and operational activities and implementation of new engineering tools.
