Abstract
The issue of training a “humanities-oriented specialist” with a highly-developed information culture is considered. Didactic conditions for the implementation of this challenge by teaching humanities are suggested. Besides, the issue of developing humanities background for specific disciplines and for professions in general is analyzed.
