Abstract
The article presents the results of empirical studies on the perception of facial symmetry by the children of primary school age. The data obtained confirm not only the existence of gender peculiarities of facial symmetry and asymmetry perception, but also the differentiation determined by the gender of the person whose face is the object of cognition.
