PECULIARITIES OF CROSS-BORDER TOURISM DEVELOPMENT IN THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA AND THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

In this article the peculiarities of tourism cooperation between China and Russia are revealed. The size of tourism economy, current issues and potential purchasing power in both countries are analyzed. Over the last years, there has been noted the change in both tourist arrivals in PRC and RF and also in the expenditure of citizens travelling abroad, besides the interest of Chinese and Russian tourists has appeared to shift gradually from conventional guided tours to independent custom trips.
