Abstract
The results of chemical modifying of cotton cellulose with sulfanilic acid are presented. The received experimental data allow make a conclusion concerning an increase of sorption properties of the modified sorbent with regard to heavy metal ions in aqueous media. The effectiveness of sorption is confirmed by the method of atomic absorption spectroscopy.
